CHED urges filing of petition as groups push for academic freeze

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has urged the groups pushing for an academic freeze to file a petition to delay the opening of classes in 2020.

According to CHED Chairman Prospero de Vera, the campaign for academic freeze needs to be thoroughly reviewed. The computation and parameters must be clear before submitting the recommendation to the commission.

The CHED pointed out that it opposes the academic freeze since the delay will gravely affecti the learning process of the students.
