Clark BPO firm cited as among Top 500 taxpayers

CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — Beepo, an Australian business process outsourcing (BPO) firm located in this Freeport, was recognized as one of the top 500 taxpayers by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Region No. 4 Pampanga under the medium taxpayers program of 2017.

The recognition covers tax contributions for the period of January to September 2017.

Beepo, which more than 200 employees, has contributed over PHP8.3 million in interim taxes from January 2017 to June 2017.

Since the company’s establishment in 2014, Beepo, Inc. has contributed over PHP259 million in withholding taxes, corporate taxes, payroll and share benefits.

“The Philippines has been a great launching point for our business and we’ve seen tremendous growth in the short time we’ve been here. To be able to contribute and give back to the Philippine economy in this way, in addition to making sure our employees succeed and grow are part of our core values and principles,” Aimee Engelmann, CEO of Beepo, said in a statement.

Engelmann also said that they are on track in meeting their expansion plans of 5,000 staff in the next five years.

“We continue to grow at a swift and steady pace and we are seeing a significant increase in interest from Australian companies who want to grow a team with Philippines-based staff. Beepo is opening up more and more job opportunities for a large variety of positions, including administration experts, software developers, marketers, accountants and customer support,” she said.

As one of the fastest growing companies in the Clark economic zone, the recent surge in job openings and applications in Beepo has made it a preferred employer by many job seekers.

She noted that in their 2017 employee satisfaction survey, the company received a total employee satisfaction percentage of 96.67 percent.
