Cloudy skies, isolated rain showers over PH

MANILA — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers will prevail over most parts of the archipelago, the weather bureau said Saturday.

The northeasterly surface windflow will bring isolated light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The easterlies affecting the eastern section of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over eastern and central Visayas, and Caraga.

Localized thunderstorms will cause isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA added.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over northern Luzon, the eastern part of central and southern Luzon, and the Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
