Cloudy skies, isolated rains to prevail across PH

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

MANILA – Most parts of the country will continue to experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers, the weather bureau said on Thursday (Feb. 17).

The northeast monsoon or “amihan” affecting northern Luzon will bring light rains over Cagayan Valley and isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast isolated rain showers over the rest of the country due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will also continue to prevail over northern Luzon, and the eastern section of central Luzon, southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The northern seaboard of Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds because of the northeast monsoon. Fishing boats and other small sea vessels are alerted against moderate to rough seas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA
