Cloudy skies, scattered rains to prevail over PH

MANILA — Scattered rains will prevail over the country from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, which is effective for 24 hours, PAGASA said the Bicol region and the Quezon province would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a cold front. It also cautioned of possible flash floods or landslides caused by light to moderate with occasional heavy rains.

The state-run weather bureau added the regions of Cagayan, Cordillera, and the province of Aurora would have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Ilocos region and the other parts of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country will similarly have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to local thunderstorms.

The northern section of Northern Luzon will also experience rough to very rough coastal waters affected by strong to gale winds.

The other parts of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas, meanwhile, will have moderate to rough coastal waters caused by moderate to strong winds.

The remaining areas in the country will experience slight to moderate coastal waters due to light to moderate winds. (PNA)
