Cloudy Tuesday, some rains due to 3 weather systems

Philippine News Agency

MANILA – The country will experience cloudy skies with some rains due to three weather systems, the weather bureau said on Tuesday, Dec. 28.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Aklan, and Capiz due to the shear line.

The shear line will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the rest of Western Visayas.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” is affecting the Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of Mimaropa and the Bicol Region, bringing cloudy skies with light rains over these areas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and the rest of Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds moving northeast will blow over Luzon, the Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Light to moderate winds heading northeast will be experienced over the rest of Mindanao with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The minimum temperature is 22.8°C and the maximum temperature is 28.1°C. (PNA) – bny
