The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Monday continued its coastal cleanup operations in Barangay Misong, Oriental Mindoro.

Two professors from the Norwegian Training Center and PCG 40 cadets also joined the cleanup ops.

Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing response operation, the BRP Bacagay (MRRV-441) will place 6,000 liters of oil dispersant at the scene of the incident.

The oil spill took place on Feb. 28 at the coast off Naujan, Oriental Mindoro after MT Princess submerged.

The ship was carrying around 800,000 liters of industrial fuel. — gb
