Converge vows quick service restoration in ‘Odette’-hit areas

Fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. on Friday announced service outages in some areas affected by Typhoon Odette and promised immediate service restoration to its customers.

In its 3:30 p.m. advisory, Converge said network operations have been affected in Iloilo, Capiz, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.

“Rest assured, we are working to immediately restore service in these areas while ensuring the safety of our personnel,” the advisory read.

It said the company is working “non-stop” to assess the full extent of damage caused by the typhoon.

“While restoration is ongoing, Converge is also mobilizing relief efforts for the affected communities. Keep safe and continue to monitor our official channels for network updates,” it added.

Aside from network outages, it said Converge business centers in Mandaue City, Roxas City, Iloilo City, and Cagayan de Oro City are temporarily closed.
