Cop who arrested lady Grab driver may face admin raps

The police captain involved in an altercation with a female Grab driver in Taguig City early this month may face administrative charges.

The Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) disclosed that grave misconduct, oppression, and conduct unbecoming of a police officer may be charged against PCpt. Ronald Saquilayan. Further actions will be undertaken pending the results of the pre-charge investigation this week.

Saquilayan was assigned at the Pateros Police Station. He and the Grab driver got into an altercation in front of a coffee shop and arrested the latter the on the spot.

The driver said she was only defending herself after being allegedly hit by the cop. – Report from Bea Bernardo
