Cops bring cancer patient from island home to city hospital

Eastern Samar police officers recently helped transport a cancer patient from her residence on an island to a hospital in Tacloban City.

The patient, who lives on an island in Dolores, Eastern Samar, needed transportation assistance as she was scheduled for chemotherapy treatment at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center.

Police officers of the 1st Eastern Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company did not hesitate to help the patient and ferried her on a pump boat from the island to the city so she could receive her treatment.

Aside from bringing the patient to the hospital, the cops also gave her financial assistance for her medication and treatment.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Gen.l Guillermo Eleazar praised and thanked the cops for extending assistance to the civilian who needed medical attention.

“Saludo ako sa pagtulong na ginawa ninyo. Sana ay huwag kayong magsawa sa pagtulong sa mga residente sa anumang pangangailangan nila,” Eleazar said. #
