Cops seize P6-M worth of marijuana in Cordillera

The Philippine National Police (PNP) seized P6-million in marijuana during an operation in Kibungan, Benguet on Friday, April 15.

PNP Police Chief General Dionardo Carlos said the marijuana stalks of about 50,000 grams were burned onsite in a communal forest in Sitio Bito, Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet.

No suspects have been arrested during the operation.

Carlos commended the authorities and urged them to put more efforts in hunting down the marijuana farm owners and individuals engaged in the illegal planting and sale of marijuana products.

“The successive clearing operations of marijuana plantations in Luzon these past few months clearly demonstrate our winning stance in the fight against dangerous drugs, thus, I laud again our Cordillera police operatives.:” – KC/gb
