COVID-19 mass testing starts April 14

The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) mass testing for persons under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs) is expected to start on April 14.

According to National Action Plan Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, the plan of a massive forced quarantine for PUIs and PUMs will be implemented after the completion of the quarantine facilities that is expected this week.

The duration of the 14-day quarantine period and mass testing will go beyond the scheduled end date, April 12, of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon.

However, Secretary Galvez has assured that they are continuously exerting efforts in eradicating the virus in the Philippines.
