The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Saturday (Feb. 19) assured the public that its mission to attain food security for the whole country continues, as well as providing proper livelihood for farmers and fishermen.

Dar said the government aims to provide an accessible food supply for all.

According to him, this year, the government aims to strengthen its organization through the private sector and the local government units.

“Prayoridad din ng ahensiya na makabuo ng istratehiya at solusyon upang matugunan ang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pataba,” he said.

The DA will also allot funds for the advancement of technology and machinery being used in the agricultural sector, as well as for the transportation and mobilization of products.
