The Department of Agriculture urges backyard hog raisers to cooperate in preventing the possible spread of the African Swine Fever. DA Secretary William Dar insists that disposal of pig carcasses in the river will only serve to worsen the problem. PhP 60million worth of loan assistance has been set aside for affected hog raisers. Each hog raiser can avail of a PhP30,000- loan assistance at zero interest and payable in 3 years.
