DAGUPAN CITY — The city government here has purchased a shuttle bus and three motorcycle units to be used for various activities.

Mayor Belen Fernandez said the bus and motorcycle units’ worth about PHP8 million were delivered December last year.

“We will be using the bus for the safety of our student athletes who will be joining the Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) meet on February,” she said in an interview Wednesday.

Fernandez added the 51-seater bus, which is the third bus procured by the city government, will also be used for “Lakbay-aral” (study tour) of the different departments of the city and the barangay officials.

Meanwhile, the three motorcycle units would be handed over to the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO).

“The motorcycles will be given to POSO in order for them to monitor the city’s traffic situation, and immediately respond to any incidents in the city,” Fernandez added.
