2 pulis, patay sa isang atake ng mga rebeldeng NPA sa Butuan City

Dalawang pulis ang napatay sa isang atake ng hinihinalang mga rebeldeng New People’s Army sa Sitio Tagulaje, Barangay Antongalon, Butuan City Martes ng umaga, Hunyo 15.

Kinilala ni Police Regional Office Caraga director Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr. ang mga napatay na pulis na sina Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Sherwin Roy Cajutol at si Corporal Nazar Libot, pawang mga pulis ng Butuan City Police Office Station 4 (BCPO-4). 

Ayon kay Caramat, ipinadala ang dalawa sa Sitio Tagulaje bandang alas-6 n.u para magsagawa ng follow-up intelligence operation nang salakayin ng mga rebeldeng NPA.

Tinutukan umano sina Cajutol at Libot ng baril, itinali, at kinaladkad ng mga rebelde patungo sa kalapit na bukid, at walang awa silang binaril at pinatay ng mga rebelde doon. 

Nangako naman si Caramat na hahanapin ang mga salarin kahit sa kanilang ‘’areas of stronghold” upang mabigyan ng hustisya ang mga pamilya ng mga biktima.
