The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed over 320,993 hectares of land to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Mindanao this year, nearing its annual target.

In a media briefing on Wednesday, DAR Region 10 Director Zoraida Macadindang said the distributed lands fall under the agency’s Land Tenure Security Program (LTSP) and Land Acquisition and Distribution (LAD) initiatives.

“Our ARBs are farmers, even the younger ones (their children), who need to cultivate the land because that is a major requisite to qualify for land titles,” she said.

The distribution so far accounts for 97.28 percent of DAR-10’s 329,975-hectare target for the year.

As of November 2024, DAR-10 has recorded a cumulative ARB population of 239,446. Of this number, 199,846 ARBs have received at least three program interventions.
