ZAMBOANGA CITY — Lawyer Resty Osias is the new regional director of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula).

Osias, who was officer-in-charge of the legal service of DAR-9, was installed during the turnover ceremony presided by DAR Undersecretary David Erro on Wednesday.

He replaced DAR-9 Director Julita Ragandang, who retired from government service.

“I was surprised, but embrace and accept the responsibility. I hope that I will meet your expectation. I do not hope yet to exceed, I just hope to meet them,” Osias said, as he appealed for the support of the agency’s personnel.

“I am here because you are here. My job is to work with you and our job is to work together to deliver what is necessary, and what is asked (of) us by the department,” he added.

Ragandang expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all DAR employees in the region for their support during her stint as regional director.
Meanwhile, Erro commended Ragandang and wished the latter luck in her new journey in life as a retired public servant.

Erro also asked DAR employees to support Osias the way they supported Ragandang for the betterment of the agency’s delivery of services to its clientele.
