DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – The city government, through its Livelihood and Microenterprise Office (LMDO), is hosting the “Sariling Atin, Ating Tangkilikin!” trade fair as one of the initiatives to promote products of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Dasmariñas City LMDO Chief Carlos Legaspi on Thursday said the public may still visit the array of food and non-food items from various local small and micro entrepreneurs (MSME) at the Quadrangle of the city hall here until Friday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The event, which started July 9, featured 60 exhibitors for this pilot run, “coming from civil society groups, non-government organizations, including special education (SPED) institutions,” Legaspi added.
Organized through the initiative of city mayor Elpidio Barzaga, Jr., the city government has provided the needed space and stalls, all for free to the exhibitors.
Due to the success of its pilot run, Legaspi shared the city government’s plan to set up similar bazaar around the city, “so we can showcase more of our local products, and extend them the opportunity to widen their client base.”
Barzaga led Monday’s opening ceremony and committed his continued support for local small and micro entrepreneurs to further inspire them with their entrepreneurial activities. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
