Davao City rolls out aggressive community COVID-19 testing


The aggressive community testing for the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in Davao City has started amid the reported increase in confirmed cases.

The Department of Health (DOH) in Region 11 is targeting more than 10,000 individuals living in 35 high-risk barangays.

Around 300 residents of Talomo Central District that has been considered to have a high contribution in the case count of the city will undergo free RT-PCR test. The aggressive testing will continue on December 2 and 3 for other areas.

The City Health Office is expecting a spike in the number of cases due to the mass testing and are now preparing facilities for possible COVID-19 patients.
