Davao City steps up ‘Oplan Bulabog ‘

DAVAO CITY — There is no stopping the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) to conduct “Oplan Bulabog” that has so far resulted in the arrests of more wanted persons.

The operating teams in the Joint Anti-Criminality and Terrorism Operation on Saturday arrested five wanted persons. The wanted persons were identified as Mary Joy Collado; Elmer Ibia for grave slander; Warlito Bayking for two counts of child abuse; Carlo Albinda for violation of SSS law; and, Raymund Nillas for frustrated homicide.

DCPO spokesperson Senior Inspector Maria Teresita Gaspan said simultaneous operations under Oplan Bulabog were conducted in Barangay 23-C, Mini Forest, Puorok 5 and 6, 34-D, Bo. Sori, Barangay 76-A, Matina Aplaya, Zone 1, 2, 3, 4 Km 13, Panacan, Purok 11, Communal in Buhangin, Ilang in Tibungco, Sitio Okoy in Crossing Bayabas, Toril, Purok 17 in Mahayahay, Tugbok, and Feria St., Calinan.

Gaspan said the series of operations resulted in the profiling of 1,898 individual residents among them 1,637 individuals with identification cards and 261 without ID, and the arrest of five wanted persons by virtue of warrants of arrest for various serious criminal cases.

The joint task force is composed of DCPO with Task Force Davao, Philippine Coast Guard Davao, Regional Mobile Unit XI, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency XI, National Bureau of Investigation XI, Regional Intelligence Unit XI, Bureau of Immigration XI and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI and Aviation Security Unit XI.
