DepEd: 16.8M students now enrolled

More than 16.8 million students have so far enrolled for the academic year 2023-2024, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).

Based on the latest data released by DepEd, a total of 16,816,221 students were registered.

Calabarzon had the highest number of registrants at 2,858,606.

This was followed by the National Capital Region at 2,220,470 and Central Luzon at 1,868,161.

Meanwhile, the least number of enrollees were recorded in the Cordillera Administrative Region at 196,884.

Enrolment period is until Aug. 26.
