DepEd all set for blended learning

The Department of Education (DepEd) is now ready for the opening of classes after doing ample preparations for the new system of learning.

“Kayang-kaya natin mag-start on August 24 sa blended learning na approach natin kasi ilang buwan na nag-aano na tayo, nagda-dry run na, nagsi-simulation na sa lahat ng mga districts using the different approaches (We can start blended learning by August 24 since we have been conducting dry runs and simulations in all districts using different approaches),” Secretary Leonor Briones reported.

President Rodrigo Duterte lauded the work done by the DepEd in anticipation of the upcoming school opening.

“I really am proud to have you in the Cabinet,” the Chief Executive told Briones

Latest data from the department show that there are nearly 22.4 million total enrollees nationwide, 20.97 million in public schools and 1.39 million in private schools.
