DepEd to provide financial aid to teachers, employees affected by typhoons


Public school teachers and employees affected by the past typhoons are expected to be provided financial aid by the Department of Education (DepEd).

Secretary Leonor Briones has identified entitled DepEd personnel affected by the onslaught of the typhoons from the Bicol Region, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, and Cagayan Valley.

The education department will also assist its employees in acquiring calamity loan in the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) or other private lending institutions.

Moreover, the DepEd is set to release the year-end bonus worth a month of salary and a cash gift of ₱5,000 to its workforce. – PTV News
