MANILA, Aug. 8 — Joe Devance is indeed 100 percent healthy again.

Devance, whose season was slowed down by a recurring foot injury, showed on Saturday night that the pain is now gone, dropping 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting to lift Ginebra over NLEX in Calasiao.

The said performance reminiscent of his younger days convinced the PBA Press Corps to name him the Accel-PBA Press Corps Player of the Week.

Devance edged fellow Gin Kings LA Tenorio and Greg Slaughter, San Miguel Beerman Junemar Fajardo, Star Hotshot Ian Sangalang, Meralco Bolt Chris Newsome, and Blackwater Elite player Mike DiGregorio for the weekly citation.

Ginebra will not play again until Aug. 26, when the team takes on struggling Alaska. (PNA)
