DFA resets passport appointments for ASEAN Summit

MANILA — In light of the upcoming ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) rescheduled passport appointment dated November 13 to 15 for accommodation at any date until Nov. 29, 2017.

This in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 332 declaring November 13 to 15 as special non-working days for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit.

Affected offices are the DFA-ASEANA in Paranaque City and consular offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the province of Pampanga, which will be closed for the event.

Consular offices in NCR include DFA-NCR West in SM Manila, DFA-NCR East in SM Megamall, DFA-NCR South in Metro Gaisano Alabang, DFA-NCR Northeast in Ali Mall and DFA-NCR North in Robinson’s Novaliches.

Applicants with confirmed passport appointments on said dates are rescheduled any day until November 29 at their original time slot without the need for an appointment.

Except in Pampanga, said applicants from DFA-NCR and DFA-ASEANA may also be accommodated at the latter on Saturday, November 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, the DFA advised walk-in applicants (senior citizens, PWD, pregnant women, solo parents, minors who are seven years and below, and OFWs) that mall-based consular offices may set limits on the numbers of applicants from November 16 to 22. (PNA)
