DICT: 22.8-M SIM cards registered so far, Tech4Ed Centers tapped to help

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reported that 22,832,002 SIM cards have been registered as of Jan.19, which is 13.51% of the 168,977,773 total subscribers in the country.

A total of 11,445,173 Smart subscribers have been registered, as well as 9,512,591 Globe users, and 1,874,238 for DITO.

DICT Spokesperson and Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo also said DICT Regional Offices will provide free SIM Registration assistance to the public.

“We have started the roll out in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Region X. Subscribers can bring their mobile phones and valid IDs to the regions’ Tech4Ed Centers for assistance in SIM registration,” Lamentillo said.

Here are the Tech4Ed centers that will offer assistance from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
