DICT to provide free Wi-Fi in public schools

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is focused on providing free Wi-Fi to public schools in the National Capital Region (NCR) as part of the blended and distance learning platform of the Department of Education (DepEd).

According to DICT Assistant Secretary Manny Caintic, an advisory will be asked from the DepEd on the start of the blended learning before the Wi-Fi is installed.

DICT ASec. Caintic ensured that internet connection will also be provided for schools in far-flung areas. There are currently 78 schools with free Wi-Fi in the NCR. – PTV News
