By Pearl Gumapos

Interior Sec. Eduardo Año on Tuesday night (Aug. 24) reported that the distribution of ayuda has reached 75% in the National Capital Region.

So kabuuan po, P8.4 billion na ang naipamahagi natin mula noong August 11,” Año said during the Talk To The People public address of President Rodrigo Duterte.

According to Año, Caloocan was the first local government unit (LGU) to finish distributing their cash aid.

Following Caloocan were Pateros at 96.87%, Manila at 82.71%, Mandaluyong at 82.52%, and Parañaque at 77.89%.

The deadline for the distribution of ayuda will be extended until Aug. 31 to give way for waitlisted residents.

Meanwhile, the province of Laguna has given financial aid to more than 390,000 residents, and the distribution pace in Bataan is picking up.

(DILG) – jlo
