DILG exec suggests wearing vaccination card as ID

A Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) official on Wednesday (Sep. 22) floated the idea of wearing the COVID-19 vaccination card similar to an ID when outside.

In the Laging Handa public briefing, DILG Undersecretary for Barangay Affairs Martin Diño said he will suggest the wearing of the vaccination card to the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) for the latter to study.

He explained that by wearing the vaccination card, there will be less time consumed in proving the wearer’s vaccination status.

Diño clarified that wearing of the card is not mandatory and it depends on the individual. He believes that the worn vaccination card will hasten the process of entering establishments.
