DILG, NCR barangay officials tackle measures vs illegal drugs

The Regional Oversight Committee of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency is deliberating 64 Metro Manila barangays to be declared drug-cleared. Village officials from Malabon, Valenzuela, San Jaun, Paranaque and Makati are present, citing programs in place to counter the presence of illegal drugs in their respectivebarangays. As of August 31, 2019, 304 barangays in the metropolis have been declared drug-cleared and shall be certified as such by the PDEA-ROC.
