DILG orders Pasay City LGU to enforce disciplinary action on Councilor Arceo

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has ordered the local government unit (LGU) of Pasay City to enforce disciplinary action on the councilor who went viral due to shouting and cursing at the medical personnel of the city’s health office.

“The DILG will not tolerate any incident of harassment of our health workers. We’ve directed our DILG NCR Regional Office to conduct an investigation and we’ve also asked the Mayor of Pasay to look into this report and impose any applicable disciplinary action, if necessary,” DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya stated.

The video of Councilor Moti Arceo has gone viral over the weekend due to his outburst over the antibody rapid testing done on the skeletal workforce of the city hall in their session hall. A memorandum was earlier issued stating that the testing was scheduled to be conducted in the said area. The testing site has been immediately moved to another location and the medical technologists have apologized to the councilor. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
