DILG reshuffles Calabarzon provincial directors

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has reshuffled its provincial directors (PDs) in Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Quezon effective Tuesday.

In a DILG order signed by Secretary of Interior and Local Government (SILG) officer-in-charge Eduardo M. Año, the re-assignment was “in view of the official vacation leave of absence of Quezon provincial director Loine L. Dalope from Oct. 16 to Jan. 16, 2019.”

Cavite’s DILG director Allan V. Benitez was re-assigned to Rizal province, replacing PD Noel R. Bartolabac, who is assigned as PD of Laguna province.

Bartolabac took the post of PD Darrell I. Dizon, who is re-assigned as PD of Quezon province.

Replacing Benitez in Cavite is former Division Chief of DILG’s Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) and concurrent OIC-chief of Finance and Administrative Division, Eloisa G. Rozul.

Benitez, in a text message on Tuesday, said his re-assignment in Rizal “is somehow not new anymore” as he was formerly assigned in the province from 2006 to 2013.

Although he admits that challenges are different now due to more project and funds downloaded to local government units (LGUs), he said, “I am looking forward to be with my former team (Rizal) with more challenges ahead.”

The directive serves as a confirmation of DILG Calabarzon’s Regional Order No. 2018-647 dated Oct. 1, 2018. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
