DILG: Some drug users deprived of shabu resort to marijuana instead

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) reported to President Rodrigo R. Duterte Monday night its improved response and observation on the current trend in the illegal drugs trade.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año disclosed that due to some drug users’ inability to obtain shabu, they resort to marijuana instead. Over ₱15 million worth of marijuana has been seized in Balintawak, Quezon City through a buy bust operation while the Philippine National Police (PNP) discovered 3 marijuana plantations in Benguet on November 24.

The DILG assured that it will continue to strengthen its strides against illegal drugs. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
