DILG summons 29 barangay captains for ECQ violations

The DILG has summoned 29 barangay captains in Metro Manila for failing to implement the Enhanced Community Quarantine in their respective areas.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año has called for the barangay captains to explain after receiving complaints that social distancing guidelines are not being followed and mass gatherings still continue within their localities. These barangays that fail to comply are located in Manila, Caloocan, Quezon City, Makati, Las Piñas, and Muntinlupa City.

The barangay captains are given 48 hours to explain why they should not be charged for failure to implement the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. – PTV News
