DILG to PNP, NAPOLCOM: Be more prudent in enlisting new police officers

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) directs the Philippine National Police (PNP) and National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) to be more circumspect in hiring new policemen. The directive comes after the DILG gave the green light to recruit 10,000 more police officers. Competent, morally upright, and impartial in enforcing the law–these are the specific guidelines set out by DILG Secretary Eduardo Año in selecting the fresh policemen.
