DND, DPWH lead groundbreaking for new OCD building

MANILA — The Department of National Defense (DND) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Tuesday led the groundbreaking ceremony for the seven-story administration building of the Office of Civil Defense.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Public Works Secretary Mark Villar spearheaded the event, which took place in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

OCD administrator Ricardo Jalad, in a statement, said the building will house the difference offices of the agency.

“A total amount of PHP275 million was allotted by the DPWH for the construction of the building and is expected to be completed by April of 2020,” Jalad added.
