DOH asks health care workers to help boost public’s trust on COVID-19 vaccine

The Department of Health (DOH) has asked the assistance of health care workers to increase the confidence of the public on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine.

Following the survey results where many Filipinos are thinking twice about getting vaccinated against the virus, the DOH, in a town hall meeting, asked help from the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) as part of its COVID-19 information campaign.

DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III believes that the success of the government’s vaccination program depends on the public’s trust. The health department also asked midwives, pharmacists, and barangay health aids to encourage the public to get vaccinated in order to achieve a successful deployment of COVID-19 vaccines – PTV News
