DOH expedites process of giving wage to encoders

The Department of Health (DOH) is expediting the process of giving the salary of the COVID-19 Surveillance and Quick Action Unit personnel.

The Health department has hired several encoders who allegedly have not been receiving their salaries for months. According to DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the department has formed a team to handle the matter.

The DOH admits that the release of the unit’s pay was delayed due to the implemented alternative work arrangement caused by the lockdown and several encoders are having difficulties in completing their requirements. Vergeire insists that the health department cannot release any money until the required documents are completed.
