DOH garners 2nd highest approval rating among select NGAs according to Pulse Asia

In pursuit of its mandate to cultivate a responsive public health system that provides quality and accessible health services for all Filipinos, and in serving as the lead agency in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Health (DOH) garnered a 76% approval according to Pulse Asia Research’s November 23 – December 2, 2020 Ulat ng Bayan Report putting it at number one among national government agencies, statistically tied with the Department of Social Welfare and Development

“We, at the Department of Health, are very pleased with these results. This recognition is a boon to the men and women of the DOH who have been working tirelessly for the past year. As we continue with our work, we aim to be responsive to the needs of the public. Let this recognition be one of our driving forces to deliver more for our countrymen” Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III said.

In the same Ulat ng Bayan Survey Report, Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III topped the approval and awareness rankings among the Department Secretaries enjoying a 64% approval rating with an awareness rating of 97%.

“This is the success of the entire DOH workforce. I sincerely thank my DOH family for their dedication and commitment!” Secretary Duque said. “Without their untiring and selfless diligence, we would not have earned the people’s trust,” he added.

“With this good news, we are all motivated to strive further to provide quality service to every Filipino. We would like to assure the public that we value the confidence they have given the Department. We, at DOH, will carry on in improving our response to the pandemic and ensuring continuity in the delivery of basic health services amid this crisis. Maraming salamat sa inyong pagtitiwala,” the Health Chief concluded.
