DOH gear towards second round of anti-polio move in Mindanao

The Department of Health (DOH), in ensuring the eradication of polio in Southern Philippines, has crafted a technical working group (TWG) to support the second round of the Sabayang Patak Kontra Polio project of the government. The program aims at vaccinating five-year-old-and-below children in the region. The tribes and other religious groups in Mindanao are especially targeted by the TWG to benefit from the state’s polio-prevention move which is conducted on November 25 to December 07, 2019. The World Health Organization emphasized the significance of the vaccination because of the absence of cure for the disease.
