DOH intensifies public-partnership for vaxx program

The Department of Health (DOH) strengthened its public-partnership for its PinasLakas vaccination program.

DOH Officer-in-Charge Dr. Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, San Miguel Corp. President and CEO Ramon Ang, Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin Abalos, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Lopez-De Leon, and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Director of the Working Conditions Bureau Atty. Alvin Curada led the launching of PinasLakas campaign in San Miguel Corp. in Mandaluyong City.

During the event, Abalos recalled the loss of her beloved wife who succumbed to COVID-19 during the time when there were no vaccines available yet in the country.

Abalos also stressed the significance of getting fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 and expressed his full support to the government’s efforts in battling the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Ang expressed his gratitude to DOH for spearheading the event and “bringing protection closer” to their employees.

Vergeire expressed gratitude to Ang and the local government of Mandaluyong City for “believing in the science of vaccines.”

She also thanked DOLE and the DILG for their support with DOH’s “holistic response against COVID-19.”

“Let us remember that we can only work if we are healthy, so we need to ensure that we are protected at all times,” Vergeire said.

The Health official also encouraged the public to “participate in all our vaccination efforts, because no one is safe until everyone is safe.” – gb
