DOH logs 5 firecracker-related injuries

The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday, Dec. 25, said it logged an additional case of firecracker-related injury from Dec. 24 to 25, bringing the total to five.

DOH said these cases were 50% lower to 2021 (10 cases) and 72% lower than the five-year average cases (18 cases) during the same time period.

Meanwhile, there were no reported cases of fireworks ingestion and stray bullet injury.

“Umiwas sa paputok para maaaring ipagdiwang nang kumpleto at ligtas ang buong pamilya ngayong Pasko at Bagong Taon!” DOH said.
