DOLE alerts OFWs in Hong Kong

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) cautions Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Hong Kong amid ongoing protests protests in the country. DOLE chief Silvestre Bello III advises the OFWs to stay at home for their safety. He also urges them avoid going to places where protests are staged and not to wear white or black apparel so as not to be identified with the protesters. The Labor Department assures that the Philippine government continues to monitor the condition of Filipinos there.
