DOLE Calabarzon looking for interns

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Students of Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor, Legal Management and Political Science in Laguna or nearby towns, provinces who want to display and use their excellent research skills in the field of public service may avail of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) internship program being offered this May.

DOLE IV-A Personnel Officer Katherine Perez said Friday that DOLE IV-A is looking for young and dynamic individuals, ages 18 to 30 years old, whose task includes providing assistance in the Legal Service Unit of the Regional Office.

Perez said that qualified interns will also be asked to conduct research works relative to labor-related queries and complaints.

She said the area/start of assignment would be decided upon “when I already have applications with me and have done our preliminary screening.”

As the relationship is purely temporary and internship in nature, qualified trainees will be compensated in terms of rendered hours, “and purely in the spirit of public service,” Perez said. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
