DOST develops ready-to-eat chicken corn soup

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has developed a ready-to-eat chicken corn soup.

The RTE chicken corn soup is recommended by the department as a nutritious food alternative such as its developed RTE chicken arroz caldo. The new product under the DOST’s “Pack of Hope” can be distributed in evacuation centers during calamities.

DOST Secretary Fotunato dela Peña said on Sunday (June 27) the RTE chicken corn soup has a distinct taste that both children and adults will like.

The new product is set to undergo field testing and validation study in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
