DOT: Social events in NCR Plus are not allowed

The Department of Tourism (DOT) prohibited social events in accommodation establishments in the NCR Plus until May 31.

In the recent advisory issued by the department, meetings, conventions, and business and social events such as wedding receptions are not allowed due to the heightened restriction under the general community quarantine (GCQ).

Leisure travel to and from the NCR Plus is not permitted except for those who need to travel to establishments with a certificate of authority to operate for point-to-point air leisure travel.

Restaurants and cafes inside the accommodation establishments can also accept guests at only 20% capacity for dine-in and 50% for al fresco or outdoor dining.

The department allowed staycation within the said areas.
