DPWH to conduct repairs in 9 major roads in QC

MANILA — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced Friday that it will be conducting road reblocking and repair works on nine major road sections in Quezon City and España Blvd. this weekend.

In a travel advisory posted on its website, DPWH-National Capital Region Director Melvin Navarro said the road works will start at 11 p.m. Friday (April 13).

It will cover four road sections of the Epifanio delos Santos Ave., which include the northbound direction in front of Vertis North to Trinoma Mall, first lane and in front of FF Cruz to Victory Liner, first lane from sidewalk; and the southbound direction from Ignacio Diaz till after P. Tuazon Blvd., first lane from the center island; and Eugenio Lopez St. to near Scout Borromeo, innermost lane.

The following roads section will also undergo repair work: España Blvd., going to Quiapo, inner lane, from VG Cruz to A. Lacson; Quirino Highway, from Lagro to near Mater Cameli, outer lane; Congressional Ave., from San Beda Road to Visayas Ave., second lane; Visayas Ave., in front of PCOO, inner lane, southbound; and A. Bonifacio Ave., from after Del Monte St. going to Mauban, middle lane.

Motorists are advised to take alternative routes due to expected traffic slowdown in these areas.
