Drivers renewing licences to undergo orientation, computerized exam

The Land Transportation Office (LTO), in the face of rampant road accidents brought about by the wheelmen’s lack of discipline and training, enforces tighter driver’s-license-renewal procedure, compared to the old medical-and-birth-certificates-only scheme. This is in keeping with the office’s objective to limit only the possession of the license to only disciplined motorists. The LTO now requires the renewal applicants to undertake a computerized examination where the questions are random and dependent on the vehicle they will drive. Passengers laud the move following their respective terrible experiences while on board public utility vehicles.
