Drugs suspect killed in Lapu-Lapu City, P3.4-M shabu seized

A drug suspect was killed during a buy-bust operation in Lapu-Lapu City on Monday evening, March 15, 2021.

PNP Officer-in-Charge, Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Lorenzo T Eleazar said that this happened in a joint operation of City Intelligence Unit and City Drugs Enforcement Unit of the Lapu Lapu City Police Office (LCPO), Regional Drugs Enforcement Unit 7, Special Operation Unit 5, PNP Drug Enforcement Group and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Visayas Field Unit 7 was conducted against MARIO DIJIETO BAYLOSIS alias Mario male, 43 years old at Sitio Afro, Brgy Ibo, Lapu-lapu City.

Citing reports from Police Regional Office 7 Director, Police Brigadier General Ronnie S Montejo, Eleazar said BAYLOSIS, who was a Regional Priority 10 Watch listed as High-Value Individual, was hit during the exchange of fire and was immediately brought to Lapu Lapu City Districts Hospital for medical attention but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The said anti-illegal drug operation resulted to the seizure of five hundred grams (500 grams) of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with DDB value of Php 3,400,000 and the .38 caliber revolver with ammunitions.

“We have been succeeding in our series of successful anti- illegal drug operations and we shall not rest until all drug peddlers are neutralized. The PNP’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs is in line with government’s flagship program towards realization of a drug and crime-free community”, Eleazar said.
